#ThrowbackThursday During Black History Month, students at Parker Junior High dedicated the entire month to researching and creating projects highlighting the contributions of Black health professionals, artists, athletes, inventors, and more. These projects showcased the achievements and impact of influential figures across various fields. The month-long effort culminated in grade-level assemblies, where students had the opportunity to present their work and share what they had learned with their teachers and peers. Students deepened their understanding of Black history and its lasting influence on society through engaging presentations, discussions, and visual displays. Congratulations to all staff and students!

We are only 20 days away from the Parker Junior High Reading Night!
During the event, participants will have the opportunity to participate in a book tasting!
A book tasting is a fun way to sample a variety of books—just like trying different dishes at a restaurant!
Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ Choose a book from the "menu."
2️⃣ Spend 3 minutes sampling it—read the first few pages, check out the cover, or skim a section.
3️⃣ If you love it, add it to your "must-read" list!
It’s the perfect way to discover your next great read. Bon appétit... or should we say, happy reading!
