The Parker PTO plans wonderful activities for our school, and we are looking for even more parent volunteers! Are you interested in getting involved with the Parker PTO? If so, please complete the information in this volunteer form.

Hospitality
The teachers and staff at Parker work hard to make each school year a success. As a small gesture to say thank-you, dinner and desserts are provided during parent-teacher conferences in November as well as a lunch during Staff Appreciation Week in May. Committee Chairs coordinate the menus and the purchase of food in addition to organizing volunteers to help set up, serve and clean up.

Fundraising
The Fall 𝑭𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒓 is the largest fundraiser held at Parker where 100% of the proceeds are used to benefit Parker students. We also have our Signature Pie Fundraiser in December as well as a Spring Fundraiser. Committee Chairs are needed to select the fundraiser and to solicit volunteers to execute the event by prepare fund raising materials, tracking sales activity and distributing product sold.

Spirit Wear
Parker t-shirts, hoodies, and sweatpants are just a few of the great 𝑺𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕 𝑾𝒆𝒂𝒓 items that are available to students to show their school spirit. Committee Chairs will coordinate volunteers during the sale of items during Open House and special events. Volunteers will assist as needed to execute the sale and distribution of our great selection of Parker Junior High School spirit wear.

Enrichment
Parker holds a Scholastic Book Fair for one week in mid-November as well as one week in the Spring. Occasionally, there is a third book fair held at the end of the school year. It is the perfect time to find a book for a student that cannot put a book down or a student that needs a little push to read. Committee Chairs are responsible for working with Scholastic Book Company to coordinate the book fair, order books and solicit book fair volunteers. Volunteers are needed to assist students in finding and purchasing books both during and after school hours.

The Fine Arts department including Band, Chorus, Orchestra and Drama are always in need of extra help. Each group performs many concerts and productions throughout the year. Committee Chairs are responsible for coordinating volunteers to assist at various field trips, end of year parties and cast parties that are planned by teachers and staff. Help is also needed to supervise students prior to concerts or productions. Store bought snacks and drinks will require coordination at various times throughout the year.

Black History Month
The Black History Month Committee will work together to provide programming and lead the school community in its efforts to recognize and celebrate Black achievement during Black History Month.

8th Grade Activities
Can you believe they are on to high school? Help the Parker 8th graders celebrate the conclusion of a great middle school experience. Be a part of making their 8th grade year something they will not forget. Committee Chairs will coordinate volunteers that help plan activities and decorate for the dance.

Falcon Dads
The Falcon Dads is comprised of fathers, grandfathers, or uncles who want to have a presence at Parker and effect the lives of our students. The Committee Chair will coordinate volunteers to plan activities and events throughout the school year.
